Linksters Battle the Elements at Bonaire
Coldwater, ON(June 2, 2009) – The Junior Linksters witnessed it all this weekend, from cold temperatures, to wind, rain, and of course some hail. Yet the Linksters played on in the Canadian Junior Golf Association’s (CJGA) US Kids World Championship Team Canada East Qualifier at Bonaire Golf Club. Despite the weather, there was a lot of fun to be had, and some pretty good scores were posted. Lukas Lukovic of Caledon, Ont. shot a great round, finishing the day with the tournament low score, 75 (+4) to win the Boys 11-13 Division.
It was a very impressive showing in the Boys 8 & Under Division, where Johnny Travale of Stoney Creek, Ont. shot 34 (-1). Peyton Callens of Langton, Ont. won his fourth straight event in the Boys 9 & 10 Division with a score of 79 (+8).
